We had a really good Christmas break. We had a lot of fun spending time with family and friends. Chalyse and Ellora really enjoyed playing with their aunts, uncles and cousins. We were glad to stay with Daurie and Brigham. Thanks so much guys! Santa brought a play gym for Ellora and for Chalyse he brought a bed, bouncer, stroller and play gym for her doll..
While we were in Utah we took the girls to their pediatrician. He looked at Ellora and quickly decided that she would need a helmet to help her head develope and form properly. We looked into it and at first it seemed that it would take a month or more to get the helmet authorized by by the insurance, made, fitted and checked up on before we could go home. Luckily everyone was very helpful and did all that they could to get it done quickly. In the end we only needed to stay an extra week. All seems to be going well with it and it doesn't even seem to bother her too much. It does still need to be checked and adjusted every so often and of course there is no one who can do that here in Point Hope so Camille will be taking Ellora to anchorage about every 3 weeks. Their first trip will be the beginning of next month. Do to flight schedules she they will have to stay the night before the appointment in Anchorage and the next night in Kotzebue while they wait for the flight home. Fortunately while we were flying home to Utah we met the branch president from Kotzebue. He said said to give him a call if we are ever in Kotzebu or if we ever need anything. We called him up and he is going to take care of them and see if there is anyone in Anchorage who will do the same. We feel very blessed to be a part of a world wide church.

ReplyDeleteI loved it - the entire post. I loved Ellora's helmet, I loved the dolly play gym, I loved the museum pictures . . . it was all great. Glad to see you made it home. I'm sure it's nice to get back to your own space and normal life.
