Chalyse is 1!

Chalyse had her birthday and it was so fun. We are so glad that she was feeling better. We decided she had, had roseola because she got a bad rash after fever went away and all her other symptoms fit the description. But any way, for Chalyse's birthday Tom had the day off so in the morning we went to the Draper temple open house. It was beautiful but Chalyse had a hard time because she refused to go down for her morning nap a little early so we could fit it in before it was time to go. When she wouldn't even sit through the introductory movie we new we were in for a fun time. We wanted to be so reverent in the temple so we spent the entire time trading Chalyse back and forth to keep her entrained. By the end she had the tour pamphlet and was eating it but we didn't mind because it was keeping her somewhat quiet. Of course when she started choking on it we decided we needed to find a new strategy. By the time we got to some of the upper rooms she was letting out a scream every couple of minutes. Needless to say we left early but we did get to see everything and they had cookies at the end which kept Chalyse occupied until we got back into our car.

Latter at home things did not improve much. Chalyse would not take a good nap and continued to scream about everything. Tom had lesson plans and he could not find what he needed online so I was left to clean the house and get ready for the party.

The party was a lot of fun! I think everyone came except Abby (and those living outside of Utah). There were so many people there. We have a lot of family! I am glad our next baby will be born in the summer so we can have party's at a park. Any way we had cake and ice cream and opened present. Tom blew out the candle and all the kids had to help open the presents. I felt a little silly even trying to get Chalyse to blow out the candle but it's tradition. Chalyse got some fun new cloths and toys and had a great time. Thank you everyone who came and helped!

Poor Chalyse

Chalyse has been sick for over a week. She started by throwing up all night last Monday and has thrown up about once a day since then. It's so random she'll be feeling well and then all the sudden she'll be really sick then she'll be fine again. This is why it has taken me so long to take her to the doctor. When she woke up Sunday with a high fever and feeling really rotten we finally decided to take her in. Monday after checking her ears and blood for signs of infection the doctor decided Chalyse has just been lucky enough to catch two viruses in a row. So we wait and hope she starts feeling better soon so she can be back to her energetic trouble making self.
